Vintage Soviet TA-68 Telephone Converted into a Handmade LED Desk Lamp
This unique lamp was handmade from an original Soviet TA-68 rotary telephone manufactured in Latvia in the 1980s.
The telephone was new old stock / warehouse stored before conversion and retains its original ivory-colored housing and rotary dial.
I mounted the original handset on a flexible metal gooseneck, allowing the light to be positioned as needed. Inside the handset I installed two 3W LED modules, providing approximately 6W of total lighting power.
The lamp is operated by an ON/OFF switch located on the power cord.
