Large Vintage Soviet Raduga Lava Lamp

This original USSR Raduga (Rainbow) lamp has the iconic rocket / spaceship form associated with Soviet Space Age design. Its Bakelite body is covered with an aluminum outer layer, and the bottle contains a double portion of wax for a fuller, more dramatic lava effect.

I replaced the wax and liquid, installed a new 120V 60W A19 incandescent bulb, and fitted a new power cord with inline dimmer. The standard setup operates from 110V–130V without an adapter or transformer. A 220V bulb and suitable cord can be supplied for EU or UK customers on request.
